The Drywall Screw is also known as Gypsum Screw, Plaster Board Screw or Sheetrock Screw. It usually has a bugle head, sharp point or drill point, and fine or coarse thread.
For drywall screws, black phosphate and grey phosphate are the most common surface finishes, especially for indoor gypsum board and plasterboard installation. Zinc plated, yellow zinc and blue white zinc finishes can be supplied when buyers need better corrosion resistance or a different market appearance.
Applications of Drywall Screws
Drywall screws are mainly used for fastening gypsum board, plasterboard or sheetrock to wood studs, metal studs, ceiling joists and partition wall systems.
Fine thread drywall screws are suitable for metal studs and light-gauge steel framing. Coarse thread drywall screws are suitable for wood studs and wooden framing.
For distributors and construction hardware buyers, choosing the right thread type, screw length, surface treatment and package can reduce installation problems and after-sales complaints.

FAQ About Purchasing Drywall Screws
What are Type S and Type W drywall screws?
Type S drywall screws are fine thread screws used for fastening gypsum board to metal studs. Type W drywall screws are coarse thread screws used for fastening gypsum board to wood studs.
What is the difference between bugle head and countersunk head drywall screws?
Bugle head drywall screws are the most common type for drywall installation. The bugle head helps the screw sit into the board surface without tearing the paper layer. Countersunk head drywall screws are used when a flatter surface finish is required or when the customer has a specific market requirement.
Can you make custom package with our logo?
Yes. We can supply bulk cartons, small boxes, pails, wooden pallets, wooden cases and customer logo packing. For custom logo packing, MOQ is usually higher than standard bulk packing.
Can you provide free samples?
For standard drywall screws, samples can be offered for free, and clients only need to pay the freight cost. For customized drywall screws, samples can be arranged after confirming the production cost or moulding fee.
What is your MOQ for drywall screws?
For standard drywall screws, the MOQ usually starts from 50,000pcs per size. For customized size, special finish or customer logo packing, the MOQ usually starts from 100,000pcs per size. The final MOQ depends on the detailed screw specification and package requirement.
How do you guarantee the quality?
Quality control starts from raw material checking. We also arrange random inspection during production and final inspection before shipment. Material test reports, inspection reports and third-party inspection can be arranged according to client requirements.
What is your delivery time?
The general delivery time is 20–45 days. The precise delivery time depends on screw size, quantity, finish, packing method and production schedule.
